Ken Stoll A Jesus-follower by the grace of God even when I don’t feel like one. Extremely proud father of Becca, Lauren, and Gabe. My passion is writing. You could describe me as an avid reader and blogger, average golfer, die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, aspiring sailor, recovering self-help junkie, critic of rule dominated living and toxic religion, hopeful Protestant, holy-roller flunky—and surprisingly, a good number of my friends are liberals. Helplessly dependant on God’s strength instead of my own meager willpower. Give me a vibrant relationship with God that results in transformation rather than stuffy legalism. I’m wore out with ten steps to being good—I’d prefer following Jesus to the slums, prisons, hospitals, orphanages, and brothels for the right reasons.
My favorite meal would consist of a juicy rib-eye, lobster tail drenched in butter, tasty salad drowning in blue cheese dressing, baked potato smothered with sour cream, pint of Guinness, and some kind of decadent dessert made with dark chocolate.
My education includes being a graduate of Christ For The Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas—where I studied theology, world missions, youth ministry, and pastoral counseling and leadership. I am a former youth pastor as well as conference speaker and director. Currently, I write and reside in Rochester Hills and attend Kensington Community Church in neighboring Troy, Michigan.
But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. -Acts 20:24
